Here are the largest sources of water. Tall pine and oak trees surround the water, giving protection from hungry dragons or other large animals. The prey here is very scarce, though.

The fields are warm and full of prey, perfect for any animal. The fields are large and soak up the sun, and still manage to, some how, stay warm in the winter. The problem is that the dragon activity is oddly high here, so the animals have to be wary.

The mountains are an okay place for badgers to live. They can deal with the cold, it has a fair amount of prey, and they can create warm dens in the snow. The problem is that the mountains are too close to the dragons.

The town isn't a good place for a badger to be. There are too many people and, though there is food, there aren't any places to sleep, and they have a higher chance of being shot. The only good reason for one to come here is if they're starving.
